Barrow County's Emergency Dispatch Center is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, by dispatchers which are highly trained to meet the daily and unique challenges that each emergency call presents. Whether it be an everyday or complex emergency, the dispatchers are capable to direct the appropriate level of response required to mitigate any emergency within Barrow County.

The dispatcher duties do not conclude with the facilitation of response. Callers are afforded immediate life saving assistance and or direction, in the way of pre-arrival instructions. This is accomplished simply by delivering over the phone directions to the caller. Additionally dispatchers are trained to elicit as much information as possible, to assure that the accurate and reliable information is forwarded to responders to better prepare them to meet the needs of the caller, and ensure the safety of both the responders and the community alike.

Whether you as the caller necessitate the emergent services of: law enforcement, fire, rescue, emergency medical service and or animal control, Barrow County's Emergency Communications Center, will continue to strive to meet the needs of the citizens and visitors of Barrow County.

Barrow County Emergency Communications handles communications for the following agencies:

  • Barrow County Sheriff's Office
  • Barrow County Fire and EMS
  • City of Winder Fire Department
  • Auburn Police Department
  • Statham Police Department
  • Barrow County Animal Control

Our goal is to achieve the appropriate response to every call for service.
